Technician connecting refrigerant gauges to an outdoor air-conditioning unit

Common problems we diagnose

  • System not cooling.
  • System not heating.
  • Low airflow.
  • Water leaking from the indoor unit.
  • Unusual noise.
  • Error code or flashing lights.
  • Unit shutting down or tripping the breaker.
  • Outdoor unit not running.
  • Poor performance or high running costs.
  • Controller problems.

Before you book

  • Check the filters — heavily blocked filters cause many cooling complaints.
  • Confirm the controller mode and set temperature.
  • Note any error code, and take a photo of it.
  • Turn the system off if it is leaking water onto electrics or making grinding noises.

Repair or replace advice

If the repair isn't good value given the system's age and condition, we'll tell you and explain the replacement options.

Regulated installation and service work is undertaken by appropriately licensed trades.

Frequently asked questions

Can you service an air conditioner you didn't install?

+

Yes. We service and repair most mainstream split, ducted and light-commercial systems regardless of who installed them. Providing the brand, model and approximate age when you book helps us arrive prepared.

Can you replace my existing air conditioner?

+

Yes. Replacement is not always like-for-like. We check whether the existing pipework, drainage, electrical supply and mounting positions can be reused, and whether the original capacity was right in the first place. Older systems using superseded refrigerants generally need a full changeover rather than a partial swap.
